Talked to a friend from BP this weekend. He says a the flow rate of a good deep water well is 12,000 barrels per day. A great well may flow at 25,000 bpd. The 40,000 to 55,000 bpd for the Deepwater Horizon well would make it one of the best producing wells in the Gulf.
